The "joy" is ok, it's the festering sores I can do without.

OK, OK, I think I just crossed a line there.

I'm turning 40 next month, and every morning I get up to the sound of Snap, Crackle, and Pop.

and I'm not talking Rice Krispies either.

The key is not to take anything or anyone seriously - especially those who appear to be taking themselves seriously. It's all bullshit fundamentally.

This is so very true, Rob. Now, those people who take themselves seriously... I'm working on transmuting my desire to smack them on the head and tell 'em to wake up into a laugh. The thing is, they always seem to want some words from you to acknowledge their serious bit of information. In that moment, I am learning how to respond without being an ass, even though that is my instinct.

the fungal culture from the petri dish DID look pretty amazing under the microscope though. kinda like a Dali painting that went through a warm water wash cycle.

Perhaps this is an occasion when a little judicious post editing would be more than justified.

You can count on me not to let on what (or who) went down.

I cannot think of a better way to welcome a new Poster then a good ol' fashioned pre-pubescent hijack. No higher form of flattery.

Maybe it's just as well that the newcomers know what they're getting in to early on. Though it could be that's why so many beat a hasty retreat and are never heard from again.

"newcomers know what they're getting in to early on"

There is simply too much to work with here; I generally stick to the obscure, the vague, and the barely intelligible--made all the moreso via abbrev's--before initiating a string of one liners...

Hope all is well; say hello to "my little friend" just emerging from hibernation out West (Mohave Rattlesnake, BTW).

"...beat a hasty retreat"

I wish that was all Dire was beating.

Holy crap, there is no end to this.

(There, I practically gift wrapped that one for you)

If it's ok with you I'm not touching the ribbon on that one.

Are there no depths of depravity to which you will not stoop in your unceasing attempts to corrupt the innocent members of this fair forum?

Just when I think I'm making a glorious end run back into Grateful Dead territory I get sacked by the libidinous linebacker.

Sheeesh!

a glorious end run huh ?!

i may be a "libidinous linebacker" but certainly your "end" is not "defensive"

I used up my entire stock of American football terminology on that last post (it's a stupid game anyway). Looks like I'll just have to get back to calling you a bozo.
